As is always the case these days, World of Warcraft players took to Reddit and the official Blizzard forum to complain about being targeted by mass bans. Most of the ban recipients claimed they weren’t aware of the Chronocloth Bolt and Azureweave Bolt cooldown. Many believed that Blizzard was too quick on striking down the banhammer. Thankfully, the spirit of Christmas got into the hearts of the World of Warcraft devs and they’ve since reversed their decision. Here’s what they said in an official blue post:

As a result of this, we’ve heard a lot of feedback about the crafting UI and tooltips therein, and we’re looking into improvements that we can make there in a future patch. Technically, a handful abused the bug. Unfortunately, because different activities caused the cooldown resets, Blizzard can no longer tell which ones abused the bug deliberately from the ones who didn’t. After all, it’s not like everyone has the time to report the said bugged to Blizzard, although there were a few who did do so. What’s worse is that some got banned without even knowing why as they were completely unaware that World of Warcraft had an ongoing issue. Nevertheless, it seems only natural for Blizzard to reverse suspensions for a bug caused by the lack of clarity in the game’s menus. Speaking of Warcraft, it’s believed that Blizzard is working on a mobile version of Warcraft after canceling one. Blizzard is currently preparing to release Diablo 4 in June.
