Just how much shorter is Cyberpunk 2077? Scroll down below to find out.

How Long Is Cyberpunk 2077?

Finishing Cyberpunk 2077 took us roughly around 50 hours, but that’s because we spent a lot of time messing around and doing the sidequests, which is what we recommended in our beginner’s guide. Night City is too vast, too varied, and too alive to be rushed through. However, if you’re the sort to just want a finish the game just for the sake of doing it, we’ve got good news for you. Senior Quest Designer, Patrick K. Mills, had already confirmed that the main quest of Cyberpunk 2077 would be significantly shorter than that of The Witcher 3, which took about 50 hours to complete and that’s if you only focused on the main storyline. With that said, Cyberpunk 2077’s main storyline will see its conclusion, if you speed through it, in around 20 hours.

Is Cyberpunk 2077 Replayable?

Reddit user u/shavod shared his summary of a Q&A session with the game’s developers about the quest structure of Cyberpunk 2077. Basically, in Cyberpunk 2077, any decision you make in sidequests can result in even more sidequests that “will have an impact on other quests, as well as the main storyline”. The developers go on to add that because of how this is structured, “it will be hard to find one playthrough, which will be exactly the same”. TLDR; every Cyberpunk 2077 playthrough will play out differently based on your decisions and actions and with five different endings, you’ve got just as many reasons to play through the game again.

What Happens If You Finish Cyberpunk 2077?

Unfortunately, there’s no “New Game Plus” or the sort added to Cyberpunk 2077 just yet. Instead, the game just lets you return to your “point of no return” save file with the specific reward for your particular ending. Unlike what other articles are claiming, you do not get to keep any XP or gear that you find after this “point of no return”. While a bummer, it does make sense. Some of the gear that you get during that part of the game, although awesome, are massively overpowered. Having said that, finishing Cyberpunk 2077 doesn’t mean that you’ve nothing else to do. Again, you can always go back to the beginning and play through the game differently. Not to mention, you can always complete the trophy/achievement system in Cyberpunk 2077, which should add dozens of hours to your playtime. By the time you’re finished with everything that Cyberpunk 2077 has to offer, we wouldn’t be surprised if you’d spent more than 100 hours playing it.
