Check out the article at: https://t.co/M7ao0xGKe6 https://t.co/d50Q9CxDeD — CD PROJEKT RED (@CDPROJEKTRED) March 30, 2021 CD Projekt recently announced that they’re working on expanding the company. This is in line with their plans to work on multiple AAA titles simultaneously from 2022. Acquiring the former Digital Scapes studio is definitely a step in the right direction. Digital Scapes was founded back in 2012 by a host of talented veteran individuals in the gaming industry. Previously, the studio’s founders had experience working in BioWare, Radical Entertainment, and Relic. The studio specialized in multiplayer game development. Among the many AAA games that the studio has handled in the past are Mass Effect, Dying Light, and Company of Heroes. With the studio now becoming CD Projekt RED Vancouver, the Polish developers will now have teams in four different parts of the globe. this includes Warsaw, Krakow, and Wroclaw, on top of the recently-acquired Vancouver studio. This should afford them access to talent from all around the glob and will make it possible for development to continue around the clock without subjecting employees to unfair work hours. As of the moment, it remains unclear if CD Projekt RED Vancouver is set to work on the highly anticipated multiplayer mode for Cyberpunk 2077. However, given the lack of news regarding the said mode and the current state of the game, the likelihood of that happening is low.

What’s Next for CD Projekt?

— CD PROJEKT IR (@CDPROJEKTRED_IR) March 30, 2021 Now that they’ve acquired Digital Scapes, many are expecting CD Projekt to put the team to work on the Cyberpunk 2077 multiplayer mode. However, as we’ve already mentioned, it seems like this isn’t one of CDPR’s priorities at the moment. Instead, as they’ve reaffirmed recently, CDPR is working hard to update Cyberpunk 2077 with more content and bug fixes throughout the year. A recent leak also suggests that CDPR has since changed its plans for Cyberpunk 2077 this year. Although this isn’t proven yet, CDPR may want to focus on restoring its reputation by making Cyberpunk 2077 playable. This is especially true on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. At the moment, Cyberpunk 2077 remains delisted on the PlayStation Store. This means that interested PS4 and PS5 owners will not be able to buy themselves a digital copy of the game until Sony relists the game. With that said, CDPR is also working on other projects outside of Cyberpunk 2077. They’re currently working on the next-gen update for The Witcher 3 on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. Although players can play and purchase the 2015 title on next-gen consoles, it’s only possible via backward compatibility.
