But, before anything else, CM Punk is no longer in the AEW and it’s likely not just for the sake of a storyline. The AEW World Champion got into a scuffle backstage following his win a few months ago and the AEW hasn’t looked the same since. Case in point, we haven’t had a chance to see the company’s founding EVPs around. Speaking of absences, fans have been missing the House of Black albeit their return seems imminent. Thankfully, the AEW managed to weather the storm with the help of fresh faces like Sayara. But, if we’re being honest, the AEW needs serious help. TV ratings and live event attendance has slipped in recent months and it’s likely connected to the recent controversies. The AEW has to have a strong showing at Full Gear with little to zero hiccups. Otherwise, the Triple H-led WWE could end up as the runaway winners of the ongoing war between the two wrestling promotions. Having said that, here’s everything you need to know about Full Gear:

The AEW is going through a rough patch right now but the highly anticipated event should help restart things for the wrestling promotion. Jon Moxley’s done a great job at anchoring AEW, both in promos and in real life. It also doesn’t hurt that he’s squaring up against MJF, who knows how to walk the walk and talk the talk. In addition to this, their showdown serves as the main highlight for the rest of the evening, which is full of title matches as well as other must-watch spectacles. If Tony Khan’s previous history is to go by, we’ll be seeing at least one or two more matches added in the next few days. Full Gear has to be more than just a fun night of pro wrestling and we have a hunch that it will deliver.
