Fast forward to later last year and Returnal was one of the games included in the infamous Nvidia GeForce Now leak. Since then, we’ve been getting more and more info about its PC port, including a series of SteamDB listings. However, the most damning piece of evidence comes from Housemarque at GDC 2022. At its presentation during the said event, Housemarque showed off Returnal running on the PC, which Digital Foundry’s Alexander Battaglia later pointed out.

— Alexander Battaglia (@Dachsjaeger) September 5, 2022 There’s no use denying that Returnal is coming to the PC. The only question is when it will happen. After Sony expressed confidence that it will make hundreds of millions from its PC ports this fiscal year, you could’ve sworn that we’d see at least one PC port a month coming out. This hasn’t happened yet. But, after the success of Marvel’s Spider-Man, we’re betting that a PC port of any PlayStation-exclusive game will be out by later this month if not early next month as well as at least one more for the holiday season. Fingers crossed, Returnal and Uncharted: The Legacy of Thieves Collection will be the first out of the gates. Speaking of Sony, the console manufacturer is expected to hold a showcase sometime this month. If we’re lucky, we’ll see Returnal announced at the said event. Even if not, it’s worth it to keep a close eye on what Sony has to offer for the rest of the year and beyond after increasing the price of the PS5.
