According to the market research company, MultiVersus outsold everything else sold on the market because of its popularity and its Founder’s Pack. MultiVersus is widely considered one of the best platform brawlers in years. It’s already been part of EVO 2022 and will likely be present in future iterations of the fighting game tournament. Surprisingly enough, Elden Ring is still just as popular, as it sits in second to MultiVersus, followed by Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga and Xenoblade Chronicles 3.

— Mat Piscatella (@MatPiscatella) August 19, 2022 The free-to-play crossover platform fighter launched on July 26 and has become the talk of the town since. The first season of MultiVersus is currently underway and features upcoming additions of DC’s Black Adam and Stripe the Gremlin. Even if MultiVersus is technically a free-to-play game, fans aren’t hesitating to spend money on it. The Founder’s Pack starts at $39.99 and grants access to exclusive cosmetics. But, even if you don’t spend money on MultiVersus, you can still get a lot out of it. The best part is that the developers have bright plans for MultiVersus. In addition to the aforementioned incoming additions, the studio, Player First Games, wants to support MultiVersus with new modes and more cosmetics down the line. With such fervent fan support behind it and a willing developer, MultiVersus can go far. The crossover aspect is certainly one of its best-selling features. There are even talks that Walter White from Breaking Bad will join MultiVersus. In the meantime, modders are busy adding characters to MultiVersus on PC.
