No Man’s Sky’s Nintendo Switch port was confirmed at the most recent Nintendo Direct showcase and will come with every piece of content that’s been released for the game since it was launched. In addition, the Switch port of No Man’s Sky will support both handheld and docked modes, letting you explore a procedurally generated universe while on the go. As we’ve already mentioned, Hello Games had done an excellent job turning No Man’s Sky into one of the best games available today. But, making it available on the Switch is an entirely different story. The massive world is taxing on hardware, which should pose a problem for the Switch’s more humble specifications. The silver lining here is that No Man’s Sky surprisingly doesn’t take up much space despite the unlimited exploration it could potentially deliver. Regardless of platform, No Man’s Sky’s final install size usually hovers around 11GB to 12GB, which is small by today’s standards. Having said that, we’re still curious to see how Hello Games will pull off running No Man’s Sky on the Nintendo Switch with minimal compromises. We doubt that the studio will want to see a repeat of 2016 where No Man’s Sky had technical and performance issues, among others. So far, the initial trailer is promising, but we’ll have to wait for a few more months to see more of No Man’s Sky on Switch as Hello Games reveals a proper release date. In other news, Microsoft just confirmed that it wants to bring Call of Duty to the Nintendo Switch. We also got wind of a Batman Arkham Collection for Nintendo’s portable console. Since the most recent Nintendo Direct focused on games that will be released during the first half of 2022, the leaked bundle might not be announced until much later this year.
