Acquiring the Palindrome

Many of the best weapons in Destiny 2 require players to go through grueling ordeals and complete daunting tasks, often burdened with grinding, before unlocking them. Thankfully, the Palindrome is not among these, instead being fairly straightforward to acquire - provided the circumstances are right. To get your own Palindrome hand cannon, you need to play through a specific Strike, Nightfall: The Ordeal. You might be thinking “that’s it?” right now, but due to the weekly reward rotation system, the Palindrome isn’t always the reward for this particular Strike. Some weeks you can get this hand cannon, some weeks you can’t, so make sure you check before you commit!

Changes to the Palindrome

Some of the attributes of the Palindrome have been changed compared to its original version found in Destiny 1. The main difference is the lack of the Luck in the Chamber perk, which has been replaced by a new perk that doesn’t appear on any other weapon called Bottomless Grief. This is an ammo conservation perk that kicks in when you are the last surviving member of your team. Under these circumstances, scoring kills will automatically refill your current clip.

Other Destiny 1 Guns returning

The Shadow Price Auto Rifle and the Swarm Machine Gun are two other weapons from the first game making a return as part of this reward rotation, so keep an eye out what gun Nightfall: The Ordeal.
