Nowadays, cheating is quite common, and many hackers are finding new ways to ruin the fun for others. Warzone had its ups and downs throughout its release. When the highly-acclaimed battle royale was released, the hackers were rampant.

After numerous complaints and multiple ban waves, the situation just kept getting worse until the release of Activision’s very own kernel-level anti-cheat, RICOCHET. The release of RICOCHET helped take down a lot of hackers, making the situation much better. However, despite Raven Software’s commendable efforts, the hackers seemed to have found a way around the anti-cheat. A Redditor, u/aBipolarTree, posted about the influx of blatant hackers in Warzone. The OP agreed that after the introduction of RICOCHET, cheating was reduced drastically. However, it was not until recently that the OP started running into multiple blatant hackers. Other common cheat includes wallhacks to avoid detection, as aimbot is mostly used by rage hackers who don’t care about detection and getting banned. To everyone’s surprise, the thread is filled with players replying in agreement with the OP’s statement about the alarming rate at which the hackers are returning. One comment stated that they’ve been running into hackers for almost two weeks, while the other shared a video of a hacker blatantly using aimbot in a pre-match lobby. What’s more worrying is that season 5, the last season of Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone, is just a few days away. Season 5 will conclude the Vanguard and Warzone chapter so that we may welcome Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 later this year.
